Background

The incidence of intracranial aneurysms in China population is about 7%, and the 24-hour mortality rate of subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by its rupture is as high as 37%. Intracranial aneurysm is a common cerebrovascular disease, and the incidence rate in Chinese is as high as 7%. It is called intracranial untimely bomb. Every year, about 2% of aneurysms rupture, which causes intracranial hemorrhage. The pre-hospital mortality rate of patients reaches 12%. Even after surgical treatment, the mortality rate is as high as 40%. The psychological burden of patients is large, and the relationship between doctors and patients is tense. Therefore, early and accurate detection is of great significance to the clinical management and prognosis of intracranial aneurysms.

CT angiography (CTA) is a noninvasive, convenient and reliable method for detecting intracranial aneurysms. However, its diagnostic performance is affected by many factors, such as equipment and work experience, which leads to great differences in diagnostic sensitivity of different studies. Deep learning technology has shown great potential in detecting lesions based on medical images. It is expected to improve the detection efficiency of intracranial aneurysms on CTA images and have a positive impact on clinical practice.
